The Foreign Area Officer Association (FAOA) invites you to our next Distinguished Speaker Luncheon and Book Signing on Thursday, 14 December at the Fort McNair Officers’ Club. Our guest of honor at the event will be MAJ (ret) Jason Howk. MAJ Howk is an accomplished Foreign Area Officer with over 23 years of experience in military and diplomatic assignments specializing in the broader Middle East. He served as Aide de Camp to Generals Karl Eikenberry, Stan McChrystal, and Sir Graeme Lamb in Afghanistan and was a member of the bipartisan National Security Council transition team during the 2016 Presidential Transition.  He is the award-winning author of The Qur’an: A Modern-English Chronological Interpretation, been a term-member of the Council on Foreign Affairs and has served on the Editorial Board of the FAOA International Affairs Journal. He speaks Dari and Arabic. He is also a Lifetime FAOA member. MAJ Howks book will be available for purchase and signing before and after the event (cash, check, or credit card).
