Hi everyone,
My name is Major Mike Butler, a British Army Officer about to start a full-time Masters programme at Oxford University in Diplomatic Studies. My research focus relates to the US FAO programmes and the lessons the British Army can learn as it looks to set up a similar, if smaller, equivalent.
I am visiting DLI, Monterey, 19-20 Sep on a research trip and, in advance, I wondered if anyone had a good background history for the US FAO programmes (the Army's in particular)? I am keen to understand as much as I can about organisational structures, training and education through-career and the underpinning personnel and career management mechanisms for FAOs.
Any information or support would be gratefully received!
Thanks very much,
Mike
