Your FAO Association has been busy and we are excited to report much progress on the design and development of the FAO Heritage Display in the Pentagon. Now we need your help in gathering more information and content that will finalize the already approved proposal and space to allow construction in the last phase.

What we need? Photographs (historical and current FAO's in Action), Artifacts (including unique gifts), and other memorabilia for display consideration.

To support, please review the following links:

    1. DRAFT content for History (Cabinet No. 1) - we are especially in need of photographs and/or small artifacts

    2. DRAFT content for FAO Legend Biographies (Cabinet 2)

    -       LTG Vernon Walters
    -       LTG James Van Fleet
    -       LTG Samuel Wilson

    3.  DRAFT content for FAOs in Action (Cabinet 3).  We are seeking recent photographs/stories of FAOs in the field related to any of the three primary FAO disciplines; security cooperation, intelligence, and political-military affairs.

    4. Map of where the FAO Heritage Display space is located, including reserved area (see note)

Note: The added Reserved space is allocated for future use, which is where a larger artifacts display could be hosted along with the development of a FAO Awards Program, Hall of Fame, and Roll of Honor.

In addition to any physical items you might have to share, also please forward any other ideas including content you think is noteworthy for adding to the Historical Chronology (Cabinet 1).

The goal is to have the display completed by the end of March 2013. Your input is appreciated and will be considered if received by 11 January 2013. You can forward comments to the following email address, our lead for collecting items, Mr. Jeff Hoffmann at: faoahistory@gmail.com

Jeff will be able to further assist whether it is to review language or share a mailing address to receive loaned artifact material.

We appreciate any feedback and/or material you have to share. This display has been a long-time FAOA Charter goal now inching closer to becoming a memorable reality.

    FAO Heritage Display Co-Chairs

    Mr. James (JB) Shelton
    Mr. Jeff Hoffmann

This is a great idea.  I would suggest that you also reach out the the U.S. Army Heritage Center up in Carlisle, PA and West Point. The Department of Foreign Languages and the West Point museum has some good resources to tap into as well.

Are services other than Army welcome to contribute?
